Contest Rules New Orleans Multicultural Tourism Network Promotion Contest Rules


The New Orleans Multicultural Tourism Network's Quickie Wedding Promotion is open to legal residents of the United States (excluding Louisiana residents). No purchase necessary to enter. Winner must be 21 years of age or older, and meet all requirements set forth by Louisiana marriage law.

1). How to Enter:

To enter, you must register via soulofneworleans.com before August 10, 2009, 8:59 A.M., CDT, or at one of the satellite registration stations during the ESSENCE MUSIC FESTIVAL. You must accept the terms of Agreement as stated on the online registration page (soulofneworleans.com). Participants are encouraged to read these rules. Participants must complete the official entry form by filling out the required fields on the intake form, including but not limited to: first and last name, phone number and email address. Participants must then click on the "submit" button to be entered into the contest. Online registrants must click the box accepting the terms of agreement. By clicking "Submit", the entrants agree that they have read, understand and will abide and adhere to the terms and conditions put forth in these Contest Rules. Clicking "Submit" shall be deemed as acceptance of these Contest Rules.

The New Orleans Multicultural Tourism Network reserves the right to reject any entry and is under no obligation to disclose the reason(s), if any, for such a rejection.

There shall be only one entry made per person. Multiple entries by the same person may result in disqualification of all such entries.

Participants shall not tamper, copy, modify, or corrupt the administration, security, or proper function of any part of New Orleans Multicultural Tourism Network's website or the polldaddy.com website. Entries generated by robots or scripts are considered to be a direct violation of contest policy and will result in immediate disqualification of any and all associated entries. Internet access and usage charges applicable to your account including local, long distance, and toll free prefix access charge to reach your Internet Service Provider, any usage charges applicable under your pricing plan and any applicable taxes will continue to apply while you are online in connection with this contest.

The Sponsor, the New Orleans Multicultural Tourism Network, is not responsible for telephone, network, electronic, or computer failures of any kind, or for entries that are stolen, misdirected, incomplete, garbled, delayed by computer transmissions, lost, late, damaged, or ineligible.

2). Sweepstakes Prizes:

There will be a drawing for one Grand Prize, which shall be for all of the following:

Drawing will occur on August 14, 2009, with the winner being notified via email.

The winner will be responsible for all expenses not specifically provided for including, but not limited to, additional wedding guests transportation and lodging, transfers, taxes, insurance, gratuities, as well as any and all incidentals.

Estimated Retail Value of Grand Prize: (USD) $2,500

Prizes shall be announced no later than August 21, 2009.

All trademarks, service marks, and trade names are proprietary to respective owners.

3). Winner Selection:

All entries become the property of the New Orleans Multicultural Tourism Network and will not be acknowledged or returned. The Contest Period begins 12:01 A.M. (all times Central Time) on July 1, 2009 and ends on 8:59 A.M. August 10, 2009. To be eligible to win the grand prize, online entries must be received by 8:59 A.M. on August 10, 2009. One (1) Grand Prize Winner for the NOMTN Quickie Wedding Promotion will be chosen in a random drawing from all eligible entries on the August 14, 2009.

The winner will be notified on the Friday, August 21, 2009. The winner and his/her travel companion (who must be 21 years of age or older) will each be required to complete, execute, and notarize the New Orleans Multicultural Tourism Network's Eligibility Certificate and Release forms, which will be sent to the winner within five (5) days of notification. If any prize notification or any prize is returned as undeliverable, the prize may be awarded to an alternate winner from the pool of eligible entries.

Without notice, the New Orleans Multicultural Tourism Network, as may be necessary due to unavailability of prizes, may substitute prizes, in which case a prize of equal or greater value will be awarded.

All prize(s) awarded are otherwise not transferable or redeemable, can only be claimed by the individual who submitted the winning entry, and must be accepted as awarded. The winner has six months to redeem said prize, but must give forty-five (45) days notice, prior to redemption date. Prize cannot be redeemed during holidays and/or special events, which are to be deemed by the New Orleans Multicultural tourism Network.

In the event of a dispute regarding who submitted the online entry, the entry shall be deemed submitted by the Authorized Holder (as defined below) of the email account. Winners may be requested to provide New Orleans Multicultural tourism Network with proof that such person is the Authorized Holder (as defined below) of the email address associated with the winning entry. "Authorized Holder" shall mean the natural person assigned to an email address by an Internet access provider, on-line service provider, or other organization that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address (e.g., business, educational institution, etc.).

All prize recipients agree to execute the New Orleans Multicultural Tourism Network's Eligibility Certificate and Release forms in order to receive their prize. Prizes will be awarded within approximately 30 days of drawing once Eligibility Certificates and Release Forms are received. All taxes on prizes including income taxes and any incidental expenses associated with collection of a prize are the responsibility of the winner. Winner assumes all liability for any damages arising from participation in the Sweepstakes or from any prize awarded hereunder and releases the Louisiana Office of Tourism from any such liability. Acceptance of prize constitutes permission (except where prohibited by law) to use winner's name, city, state, comments, image, likeness and/or voice for purposes of advertising, promotion and publicity without additional compensation and or notice.

4). General Conditions:

The total number and quality of entries received in the Sweepstakes Period determines odds of winning the grand prize. GMc+Company Advertising, 365 Canal Street, Suite 2950, New Orleans, LA 70130 will operate the giveaway. Employees of the New Orleans Multicultural Tourism Network, GMc+Company Advertising, Inc., New Orleans Tourism Marketing Corporation, their affiliates, subsidiaries, and advertising agencies, and members of the immediate families of each are not eligible.

All federal, state, provincial, and local laws and regulations apply, and the promotion is subject to the laws of the United States. Entries are void in any jurisdiction where participation is prohibited. In the event this sweepstakes is compromised in any way, electronically or otherwise, that is beyond the control of the New Orleans Multicultural Tourism Network, the New Orleans Multicultural Tourism Network reserves the right to withdraw the transmission of this sweepstakes and award the remaining prize among entries received prior to the date of the withdrawal. Entrants agree to abide by these Official Rules and by the decisions of the judging parties and the New Orleans Multicultural Tourism Network, whose decisions are final. Failure to comply with these rules may result in disqualification from this sweepstakes promotion. The Louisiana Office of Tourism reserves the right to permanently disqualify from any sweepstakes promotion it sponsors any person it believes has intentionally violated these rules.

Participants release Premiere Radio Networks, Inc., Inner City Broadcasting, The Steve Harvey Radio Network, each radio station contracted to broadcast the Steve Harvey Radio Network, and their respective subsidiaries and affiliated companies, divisions, parent companies, officers, directors, employees, agents and advertising agencies and all others associated with the development and execution of the Contest, from and against any and all liability with respect to or in any way arising from this Contest and the awarding and use of the prize, including without limitation liability for death, personal injury and/or disability


5.) Entire Agreement Clause

This (1) document, together with (2) any addenda referenced in this document and issued by the Department, and (3) any exhibits specifically incorporated herein by reference, constitute the entire rules agreement between the parties with respect to this contest.

6). Winners List:

For the name of the prize winner (available within 30 days of the date of the determination of the winner) send a self addressed, stamped envelope to Toni Rice, President, New Orleans Multicultural Tourism Network, 2020 St. Charles Avenue, New Orleans, LA.

7) Release:

Winner assumes all liability for any damages arising from participation in the Sweepstakes or from any prize awarded hereunder and releases the New Orleans Multicultural Tourism Network and each and all participants associated with this promotion.
